The boxer dogs body is compact and powerful. The head was in proportion with the entire body. The muzzle is actually short and blunt with a distinct stop. The nose is big and black having very open nostrils. The jaw comes with an under bite. The eyes are darkish. The ears are generally set high, sometimes cropped or stored natural. When cropped they are trained to operate on the mind, tapering to a place. When left pure the ears are generally thin, falling forwards, lying close on the head. The neck needs to be round, strong in addition to muscular, without the dewlap.
The boxer dog front feet are straight in addition to parallel when viewed from the front. The rear legs are nicely muscled. The tail is placed high and normally docked.
